Centretown is a neighborhood bordered by popular Ottawa streets including Gloucester, Lisgar, Bronson Avenue, the Queensway, and the Rideau Canal. Centretown includes both the Golden Triangle and Downtown Ottawa areas meaning plenty of activity options for families with children, young adults, and executives alike. The area is also host to a myriad of embassies giving the area a distinct atmosphere unlike anywhere else! As downtown Ottawa is a part of the area, Centretown boasts some of the busiest streets in the city, namely Bank and Elgin. Aside from the eclectic restaurants and independent coffee shops in the downtown core, both City Hall and Parliament can be found in this spacious neighbourhood. The Byward Market area, a popular tourist destination, is great for exploring and living as the area is steps away from both government buildings for work and many local hotspots for play! On the eastern side of Centretown lies beautiful views of the Rideau River from the large Hog's Back Park Falls and Mooney's Bay, which is host to many summer events for children and adults alike, such as Hope Volleyball Summerfest. Just some of the interesting and larger neighbourhoods located within Centretown are The Glebe, Dow's Lake, and Little Italy.
